back home

I'm in the home stretch of this year's INSANE wedding season.  I only have 2 more weddings officially on the books for the rest of the year.  One is this weekend and the other is towards the end of September.  Last week, I was down in Destin trying to get one last little trip to the beach for Noah before he started school...YESTERDAY!  No, you haven't lost track of time and he's not starting Kindergarten.  He's still only 3 and only goes 3 days a week.  I had my good friend's Laura and Robert's wedding in Santa Rosa on Saturday that I can't wait to show you.  We did a day after shoot and then drove back all day Sunday.  We got to our house at 12:30am, then woke Noah up at 7 to go to his first day of school.  Then I got dressed and packed up for the 4th annual Bruce Pearl's Fore The Kids gold tournament to benefit Camp Koinania.  After I got home from the tournament, I CRASHED!!!  I love being down in Destin and still got some work done, but I'm really looking forward to getting back to a normal schedule back at my house where I can actually sit and work at a desk instead of the kitchen table.

Now that things are going to start slowing down after this week, I'll be posting everything you haven't seen from the past 2 months.  I've had a ton of really great stuff that I can't wait to get my hands on.  I mean...really good stuff!!!!  I've had some changes here over the past month as well, so I'm also looking forward to being able to sit down and get a solid grip on everything!

Stay tuned!!

dane and julia (v2.0)

Here's the 2nd and final installment of pictures from Dane and Julia's wedding. I've been to some real party receptions before, but I have NEVER seen a dance floor this packed till 1am. It was so crowded, Lynn and I couldn't move around. If we wanted to get anything besides the back of someone's head, we had to stand on the stage! They had a great band, The Tyrone Smith Revue (a.k.a The Super T Band), that put on a seriously amazing show. It was like a concert and they had everyone involved. It was my first reception at the L&N, and they had it packed! Julia and Dane are 2 of the nicest people I've ever met and they were surrounded by incredibly sweet and fun loving people. My body has been conditioned to be able to stand the stress I put on it during a wedding, but they all wore me out! All of you blog stalkers that have seen me in action know that I'm an active participant in all the festivities. I'm usually a little sluggish the next day, but nothing major. My whole body hurt the day after their wedding! There has only been one other wedding that has had that kind of effect, and it was a 3 day event that you haven't seen yet. So kudos to you, Dane and Julia. You were the first couple in a long time to make me feel the burn of a good wedding day workout!!!! Now, on with the show!

The Cody show to be exact! Dane's brother is a character. The following sequence was literally taken about 30 seconds after meeting him for the first time.

Since I have a 3 year old, and my life's soundtrack is a Disney movie, people start to remind me of the characters after a while. For example, I think that Cody looks like "Linguini"from Ratatouille. Am I right?!?!

Yes, you counted correctly. That's 11 b.maids, 11 g.men, 1 ring bearer, 2 flower girls, 1 bride, 1 groom, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Dane watched me like a hawk when I grabbed their rings for a quick shot!

HAHA!!! I loved watching Mr. Bradshaw dance.

Super T himself!!!! He's very shy.

ROCKY TOP!!!!! Since this is a joyous occasion, we will forgive all of you who were screaming "roll tide roll"...but this is your one pass.

Thank you guys for being so much fun. I can't wait for your post session this fall!!!!! Stay tuned all you faithful blog stalkers.
